SkinBooster

SkinBooster is a deep hydration treatment that introduces non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid into the dermis to improve skin quality from within: radiance, texture, elasticity and fineness. It adds no volume and does not alter the features. Available at Alta Armonía, El Albir.

What SkinBooster is and what it is for

SkinBooster uses low-density hyaluronic acid which, unlike fillers, is not designed to add volume but to retain water in the dermis and stimulate the activity of the fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin.

It is applied through microinjections distributed across the area to be treated — usually the face, neck, décolletage or backs of the hands — forming a network of hydration points. The result is brighter, more elastic skin with better texture, and fine lines that are less marked thanks to the hydration of the tissue itself.

It is particularly indicated for dull or dehydrated skin, skin with accumulated sun damage or fine lines of dehydration, and it works well as maintenance for skin quality.

SkinBooster is one of the facial aesthetic medicine treatments at Alta Armonía in El Albir. It works on hydration and skin quality, not volume: for that there is hyaluronic acid. And when the aim is to induce collagen, the technique of reference is Dermapen. The specific plan is decided at the first consultation.

Which areas are treated

SkinBooster is designed for areas where what is failing is the quality of the skin, not its volume or its structure:

The face, especially the cheeks and around the eyes, when the skin is dull or has fine lines of dehydration. The neck and décolletage, two areas that age before the face and that almost nobody treats in time. And the backs of the hands, where the skin thins and dehydrates with the years and the sun.

In the Marina Baixa there is an added factor: continuous sun exposure dehydrates and damages the skin faster than elsewhere, and that shows especially on the neck, décolletage and hands.

The session, step by step

1. Assessment. The quality of the skin is reviewed and we confirm whether what it needs is deep hydration or something else. Skin that has lost volume is not fixed by hydrating it.

2. Cleansing and preparation. Make-up is removed and the area is disinfected.

3. Microinjections. Points are applied across the area in an even network, superficially and with a fine needle.

4. Afterwards. It is normal for small papules to remain at the entry points for a few hours, along with some redness. At the end of the session we explain the guidance on sun, skincare and make-up.

It is a well-tolerated treatment with a progressive effect: the hydration shows before the collagen stimulation, which works over the following weeks. The schedule is set at the first consultation.

If you would like to know who is on the other side before deciding, here we introduce the centre and the team behind it.

Why choose SkinBooster at Alta Armonía

It is the indicated treatment when what you want to improve is the appearance and texture of the skin without changing your features at all.

SkinBooster is planned as a cycle of several spaced sessions so that the improvement is progressive and lasts over time.

It can be combined within a plan with botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid or a medical peel, because it works towards a different, complementary objective.

The indication, the number of sessions and the areas to treat are established at a prior medical assessment, and the treatment is carried out by qualified healthcare staff.

FAQS

Frequently asked questions about SkinBooster

Filler product is a cross-linked, dense hyaluronic acid, designed to add volume and support in a specific area. SkinBooster uses a fluid hyaluronic acid that is distributed through the dermis to hydrate and improve the quality of the skin. One changes the contour; the other changes the appearance of the skin.

It is planned as a course of sessions, with an initial cycle and maintenance afterwards. The exact number depends on the condition of the skin and the objective, and is set at the initial assessment.

It is a well-tolerated treatment. A topical anaesthetic is applied beforehand and the microinjections are superficial. Some points may remain red, or small papules may appear, for a few hours.

Results are progressive. The improvement in radiance and hydration begins to show in the days after the session and consolidates over the cycle, since part of the effect depends on collagen stimulation.

Both work on skin quality with microinjections, but with different contents. SkinBooster focuses on low-density hyaluronic acid, which retains water in the dermis; facial mesotherapy also delivers a cocktail of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They can be planned separately or within a single skin-quality protocol.

No. The hyaluronic acid in SkinBooster is low-density and is not designed to fill or project: it is distributed through the dermis to hydrate. If what you are looking for is to restore volume or define a contour, that is hyaluronic acid in its filler form, which is a different treatment.

The sun is precisely one of the reasons skin dehydrates and loses quality, so it is not an obstacle. What does change is the aftercare, and at the assessment we check whether there is a recent tan or any other circumstance that makes it advisable to wait.
